  1. I wonder what took so long for O&A to mention the Chick-fil-A controversy. I'm pretty sure they have them up in New York and Jersey and Anthony shitting on jazz? I love it when Anthony gets all pissed off because he hates jazz music so much. Thanks for today's show!

    3. That I did not know until today's show, but you're right. I checked the Chick-fil-A website and it's the only one in the whole state of NY. NJ has a bunch of them if you check the same website.

On an unrelated note, since I'm going to start college at Rutgers next month as a freshman, when was the last time Jim Norton performed at The Stress Factory? I really wanna see him live in New Brunswick.

    1. peeje has been an unmitigated disaster for the last few days. Files have been disappearing and links messed up.

I am now using a second peeje account as the old one no longer allows me to rename or delete files. Files are disappearing on both accounts.

If the problems don't resolve themselves soon, we will need to find another worksafe host.

    2. Oh BTW, both links fixed ... for now.

Grab them quick before peeje takes another shit and they turn up missing again.

    1. Nope, I did not, I was out and about today.

I had actually recorded the last coupla days, just as cover, but it looked like it wasn't necessary anymore.

If you have found an Alt Src, and are sorted for Ronnie B lemme know
... in the meantime, I'll see if I can try and grab it off the Sirius webplayer, but obviously that's gonna mean waiting for four hours for it to playback in realtime.

  7. I don't like any of the bands on that bill they were talking about (outside of maybe Black Sabbath), but I really can't stand when O&A&J talk about music; even when it's bands I respect. I'm not a sports guy whatsoever but I would rather listen to them talk about sports for 3 hours than music for 10 minutes. I still listen though because I enjoy being annoyed and no one does it better.

    1. I couldn't be more different. Any schmuck this side of Boston talking about music is ten times better than the BEST of the BEST discussing sports. I don't know, it's just the way I am. It's more entertaining to hear these radio guys goof on bad music than it is listening to them goof on bad baseball teams. And Black Keys are the best.

    2. Black Keys are fine. This is the thing: I realize this is all subjective and that these kind of bits are supposed to annoy people. I absolutely cannot stand sports, like 80% of my day is music oriented, but I'd still rather hear sports talk (which is truly horrendous) over any jocks talking about music. Especially when it's horrid, cheesy '70's and '80's rock like Van Halen, Def Leopard, and Guns 'n Roses that they make out to be innovative gods of music.

The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, ACDC and even Nirvana I can put up with. It's just their arguments like "they sold x records" or "it was a massive hit" that really bother me. Who gives a fuck? Van Halen and GNR are utterly awful — regardless of whether the members are talented or they made money off their music. They were playing Pat Benatar the other day and genuinely enjoying that sonic pollution. Yuck. Opie (because he was a classic rock jock) really bothers me with that shit because he's all about numbers and hits and boring, useless, soulless garbage like that. If it didn't sell big it can't be good, if it's not known globally it obviously isn't worth shit. I really try to defend him when people hate on him but that's where he loses me.

I have no problem with Ant's hatred for jazz, there's only a little bit of jazz I enjoy and I completely understand why a lot of people don't enjoy it. He still has the same issues as Opie though.

And Jim's attitude regarding Black Sabbath annoys me too (and yes I know that's the point). I love metal in all forms but give it a rest Jim, there are many other acts in the genre which are plenty influential and have written far better music.

  8. I like when they talk music because they every so often will turn me on to bands that were a bit obscure and before my time. Thomson Twins, though - yeecchh...

  9. I hope O&A and Jimmy mention their special appearance on today's episode of Louie. I literally shit myself when I heard their voices. Definitely my all-time favorite episode now.
