Relying on people relying on other people recording shows, ain't really reliable.
I wish there was another way but, um, Ted had to pull the plug. It stinks. Like David said we need more people to record shows. Someone needs to step up and grab R&F. It's just too bad that SXM is making it difficult by pulling the old feeds. Cudos to David and anyone else who can stick with the recording. With my erratic schedule it's just not possible.

O&A had a huge fight at the start of Monday's show, which is why they ran Worst Of until the first break, according to someone on Paltalk. Ant tweeted some shit about how to service sucked at FH's.

DeleteI can't imagine just Ant & Opie having a fight over something stupid about Ant's dumb tweets (which I see both sides of annoyance in that scenario) would keep him out for 3 days and counting. I could see him storming out of the studio and leaving work and that getting him suspended, or an exchange that went too far he may have had with management after leaving, or if he was told to calm down, etc.

ReplyDeleteBased on the comments, the Twitter pages, and what I witnessed myself on PalTalk and other users on PalTalk who went to FH Rileys over the weekend, I believe that I have been able to connect the dots.
ReplyDeleteBasically, one of Opie's brothers (I'm assuming it was Brett) or relatives was in charge of being the host of the event. The service at the restaurant ended up being a very slow clusterfuck and it took 45 minutes for Anthony to get a table. He tried to order some shit on the menu and not even one drink was served, yet he was charged for it on his bill. Anthony probably treated the host like shit as a response and possibly argued with him, which could be the source of whatever was discussed on Monday.
On Monday, still super pissed off, Opie and Anthony had a long argument with a longer version of the RATM intro and a bunch of Worst Ofs. The PT banner changed several times and at one point, it said "No show for YOU!" Anthony's anger grew, Opie left the studio and he blacked out the camera. The PalTalk room was shut down temporarily and then the show started pretty late with just Jimmy, Anthony, Sam, and the rest of the O&A staff. Someone on PalTalk also told me that Jimmy had a very angry tone in his voice on Saturday and he also complained about the poor customer service.
So basically, what you're saying is:

I think that's crazy speculation, but it was odd that they did worst of, then came on live. I think it was just that they were wondering whether to go to full worst-of, because Opie is sick.
DeleteOn today's show, Opie said that he and Anthony fought and that Danny was fired. The speculation wasn't so crazy after all even though they didn't say why they argued.

As stated above by more than a few people, both parties were at fault, but Ant dealt with it like a complete Diva shit-head, and certainly should have been a man and talked to the owner.

I agree with this post. While right in principle, Ant should have handled it better. It is his partner's family's restuarant, NOT the Borgata! It puts a dispute public rather than handling it with discretion.

ReplyDeleteNevermind that, it's an issue with management. Old bosses heading out the door, transitional period, etc. If Ant can be bothered to smooth over an issue with Ralphie May, you have to believe he'd be willing to work out an issue over hurt feelings at a restaurant.
